Frozen Applesauce


Quality: Select full-flavored apples.


  1. Wash apples, peel if desired, core and slice.
  2. To each quart of apple slices, add 1/3 cup water or apple juice; cook until tender.
  3. Cool and strain if desired.
  4. Sweetening can be added if needed: 1/4 to 3/4 cup sugar for each quart of sauce. Or, use your regular recipe for applesauce,
  5. Pack into containers, leave 1/2 inch headspace for pints, 1 inch for quarts, seal label and freeze.
