Fruity Homemade Oatmeal

  

Ingredients:

2 servings

1 1/2 cups (12 ounces) water
3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup black currants
1 medium apple, cored and chopped
1 teaspoon cinnamon 

Instructions:

1. Add water to a sauce pan and bring to a boil on medium heat.

2. Skin, core, and cut apple into small pieces.

3. Once water is boiling, stir in oatmeal, currants, chopped apple, and cinnamon.

4. Turn heat to low.

5. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often, until most of the water is absorbed.

6. Let cool and serve.
