Description: Sunflower seeds are an excellent source of vitamin B1, B6, copper, magnesium and selenium which are all necessary for various metabolic processes to occur in the body. Sunflower seeds also provide iron, fiber and folate. Iron is a mineral needed to help make part of blood cells and carry oxygen through the blood, fiber helps control cholesterol and keeps you regular. Folate may reduce your risk of heart disease. Eating foods with folate before pregnancy helps lower the risk of delivering a baby with neural tube defects.

Selection: Sunflower kernels green in color with a firm texture. Avoid choosing sunflower kernels that are discolored or dry.

Storing: In airtight container away from sunlight for up to 3 months.
