Season: April to November

Description: Herbs are a great addition to recipes and can provide increased flavors. Herbs are a great substitute for high sodium seasonings.

Selection: Fresh, crisp, and brightly colored herbs. Avoid those that are wilted, dried, or yellow in color.

Storing: In airtight bag in crisper of refrigerator. Be sure to store away from fruits and vegetables such as bananas, tomatoes and peppers as they produce ethylene that can spoil the herbs.
