Description: Peaches are a source of vitamin A, an antioxidant that may reduce your risk of heart disease and certain cancers. Vitamin A helps maintain eye health. Peaches are also a source of potassium, magnesium and fiber. Potassium helps maintain healthy blood pressure, magnesium helps build and maintain strong bones, and fiber helps control cholesterol and keeps you regular.

Selection: Choose firm peaches that give to a little gentle pressure. Choose a peach that has a strong sweet smell.
Storing: In a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Peaches will keep between 3 to 5 days. If a peach needs to ripen, place the peach in a brown bag at room temperature. To keep cut peaches from browning, drizzle with lemon or orange juice.
Preparation: Rinse peach when ready to use.
Serving: Eat whole like an apple or cut into slices.
